Power Cycling Your Solar Inverter System

To power cycle your system, follow these steps:

Locate Inverter Toggle Switch:

  • Find the toggle switch between the larger inverter box and the smaller DC disconnect box below it (the DC Disconnect is a large round black knob labeled "ON" and "OFF").

  • Push the switch to the "0" position.

Turn Off DC Disconnect:

  • Turn the large black knob (DC Disconnect) at the bottom counter-clockwise to the horizontal "OFF" position.

Note: If you have multiple inverters, repeat the above steps for all inverters before proceeding to the next step.

Locate and Turn Off AC Disconnect:

  • Follow the conduit coming from the bottom of the DC disconnect box to the third box, usually labeled "PV AC Disconnect".

  • Turn it to the "OFF" position.

Wait and Verify:

  • Wait 30 seconds after turning off all three power switches.

  • Check your main service panel to ensure none of your breakers are tripped.

Power Back On:

  • After 30 seconds, and verifying no tripped breakers, turn the switches back on in reverse order:

  • First, turn the AC disconnect back on.

  • Then, turn the DC disconnect back on.

  • Finally, switch the inverter toggle back to the "ON" position.

Final Check:

  • Set a timer for 30 minutes.

  • After 30 minutes, verify that you see solid green and blue LED lights on your inverter.

  • If you do not see both lights, please watch the videos below for further troubleshooting.
